ABOUT ME
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
I'm Luca, an illustrator with a passion for creating beautiful art. I primarily work digitally using Clip Studio Paint or in 3D design software like Blender. My artistic style is diverse, ranging from highly detailed photorealism to cute and simple illustrative characters. I aim to reflect beauty in all its forms through my work, constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity and technique.
My journey in the arts began early on, during my GCSEs, where I studied Art and Design and Photography, achieving a grade 8 in both subjects. I then pursued an Art and Design Cambridge Technical qualification at college, earning a Distinction*. Initially, I studied Architecture for a year but soon realized that my skills and passion were better suited for a more creatively flexible course. Consequently, I switched to studying Illustration full-time at Sheffield Hallam University, where I spent three enriching years honing my craft and graduated with [Not yet received grade].
I'm currently planning to further my education by pursuing a master's degree in Illustration at Sheffield Hallam University. During my master's program, I aim to focus on continuing and expanding my clothing business. This venture, which blends my love for illustration and design, will be my primary academic focus as I explore new creative possibilities and innovative approaches in the world of fashion.
First and foremost, I'm a huge animal lover, with a special place in my heart for dogs. Their loyalty, playfulness, and unconditional love never fail to bring joy to my life. It is part of my dream to eventually move to the countryside, where I can surround myself with nature and, of course, some dogs.
When I'm not immersed in creating art, you'll often find me diving into the worlds of anime and manga. I absolutely adore the creativity and storytelling found in these mediums. Some of my all-time favourite anime include "One Punch Man" and "Solo Leveling," both of which never fail to leave me on the edge of my seat with their action-packed plots and dynamic characters.
As for manga, "Tokyo Ghoul" holds a special place in my heart for its dark and compelling narrative, while "One Punch Man" continues to impress me with its blend of humour and epic battles. These stories inspire and influence my own creative endeavours, shaping my artistic vision and storytelling techniques.
